Saturday, September 13, 2008 ~ MCBA / Novi And Troy Daze Parade Information


Dear Marching Band Parents and Students,

        Our first MCBA competition of the year will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Novi HS. Driving directions are provided
on the following page. We would love to have a large group of parents, friends, extended family etc. to CHEER FOR OUR  
STUDENTS!  All Students are to bring their full uniform to rehearsal. Remember, we expect the utmost effort from our students in every
aspect of preparation for this performance, and that includes taking great care of the uniforms. The schedule for the day is as follows:

9:00 AM          Report to Troy High School parking lot

10:00 AM        Parade Steps Off

11:00 AM        Approximate time that parade will end.  Get lunch and proceed immediately to Athens for rehearsal.

12:00 PM        Rehearsal Begins         
                       
3:30 PM          Rehearsal ends.
                       Listen Carefully for directions regarding the loading of equipment
                       Change into uniform. Eat “brown bag” dinner
4:15 PM          Load buses
4:30 PM          Depart for Novi HS via school buses.
5:30 PM          Arrive at Novi HS.
                       Unload / Go to Homeroom/
                       Prepare for performance
                       *** LISTEN CAREFULLY TO ALL DIRECTIONS
                       GIVEN BY DIRECTORS, STAFF & CHAPERONES.
6:00 PM          Begin warm-up
7:10 PM          Official Warm-up Time
7:55 PM          Report to the gate for competition.
8:00 PM          Red Hawk Marching Band Performs!
8:15 PM          Percussionists, Tubas etc. Put away equipment – load buses and truck then join us in the stands please.
8:15 PM          Go to stadium area – We are going to the visitors side immediately after our performance as a group!
9:15 PM          Awards ceremonies
10:00 PM        Depart for Athens.
11:00 PM        Arrive at Athens High School.


We do have a limited number of tickets; these will be available after practice on Wednesday.  YOU CAN ALWAYS BUY TICKETS AT
THE GATE.  Please help your son or daughter adhere to this schedule.  Please make sure your uniform is in good order (shoes
shined, etc.)
