Dear Marching Band Parents and Students,
The MSBOA Marching Band Festival will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at L’Anse Creuse HS. We would love to
have a large group of parents, friends, extended family etc. to CHEER FOR OUR STUDENTS! All Students are to bring
their full uniform to rehearsal. Remember, we expect the utmost effort from our students in every aspect of
preparation for this performance, and that includes taking great care of the new uniforms. The schedule for the day
is as follows:
4:30 PM Report to the parking lot for basics (Please eat before you report to rehearsal)
(Pit load equipment)
5:00 PM Rehearsal Ends
Listen Carefully for directions regarding the loading of equipment
5:15 PM All students report for meeting in the band room
5:20 PM Load buses
5:25 PM Depart for L’Anse Creuse HS via school buses.
6:00PM Arrive at L’Anse Creuse HS.
Unload / Go to Homeroom/
Prepare for performance
*** LISTEN CAREFULLY TO ALL DIRECTIONS
GIVEN BY DIRECTORS, STAFF & CHAPERONES.
6:45 PM Begin warm-up (Visual warm-up)
7:05 PM Official Warm-up Time (Music Warm-Up)
7:35 PM Pit Report to the gate
7:40 PM Report to the gate for competition.
7:45 PM Red Hawk Marching Band Performs!
8:30 PM Return to homeroom and begin loading equipment.
8:45 PM Depart
9:35 PM Arrive back at Athens
We do have a lot of tickets; these will be available after practice next week. All proceeds will benefit our band program.
Please see Lisa Calucci after Marching Band practice if you are interested. YOU CAN ALWAYS BUY TICKETS AT THE
GATE. Please help your son or daughter adhere to this schedule. Please make sure your uniform is in good order
(shoes shined, etc.)
